Jet-lagged

The contrast between Toronto and Hong Kong & Singapore is definetly remarkable. I'm still in shock that only a couple of days ago, I was helping my parents shovel the snow, and now I'm in T-shirts, shorts and sandals.

Thanks to the Gravol, Transderm Patch, and the Sea-Band (wrist band), I made the long 19 hours flight without feeling like I have to throw up. I, however, quickly noticed the dry air on the plane, leaving this nasty taste in my mouth. I must have drank about 15 cups of water and used the bathroom quite a few times. The plane ride was quite interesting as these two babies competed w/ one another, taking turns, crying and at some points, wailing. And during those rare moments when you're thankful that they finally stopped, the guy sitting behind us is well versed at annoying us by shaking not only his legs but our seats also. Thank god Kevin spoke up. Kary and Kevin were able to sleep through it for the most part, while I caught up on episodes of Ugly Betty, Sex and the City, and some random The Girls Next Door reality TV.

We arrived in Hong Kong at 7:30ish in the morning and took a cab to Kary's home. The rest of the day was spent eating and shopping. I've never seen so many athletic shoe stores on one long strip in my life. The deals were alright. No crazy steal of a deals, but some things were a bit cheaper here. We were so tired, we cut the day short and went home to eat, and went to bed by 8:30. I had an early flight the next morning to Singapore and didn't quite get a lot of sleep as my body is still not used to the time difference.

I made it safely to Singapore all by myself, and compared to the earlier flight, this one was a piece of cake. I only used the transderm patch this time. It's crazy, I counted how many flights I'll be taking over the next 3.5 months, and the total came up to 10 flights (this does not include within Australia).

It's 8:39 in the morning now, and I've been awake since 4:30. I'm hoping i'll get used to the time change soon. I'm not a huge fan of feeling jet-lagged. Gotta get going. Will try to post as soon as I can. Internet service is really hard to come by in Hong Kong.
